Construction Notes 8: Flipping the Switch, Leaving It On

It’s not done, but, I’m going to leave this new theme on. In the meantime I’ll stuff the things I took out of the sidebar on the left back in until I can remove them to Categories, Archives, and Links pages. I have the two nav items at top working, but it’s a hack. I may need an inviso-gif in there so I have something to click on, because otherwise, you have to click the link that is the list item’s semantic content.

And I’m unsure how the architecture for At Work and My Life will play out, but, like Todd says, always be deploying. I’ll need to code some JS so all outgoing links will also have a target =”_new” attribute to them.

So, while we’re not happy with it yet per se — it’s not feeling like me just yet, but I don’t feel the need to splash it with shiny and starbursts and banners and textured backgrounds — it’s a start.
