Site updates, life updates

So I monkeyed with the header to get my proposed CSS fix of several months ago to take. It didn’t. Something wrong with my floats and clears, clearly and only in MSIE 7. Whatever. Just another day. Also need to tweak each of the other templates to make sure I’ve killed off the last of the HRs.

Next week will be my last week with my current employer. The reasons are my own, but essentially, they are that I have life goals I want to pursue in earnest and this is the first step towards that goal. I am going, ironically, to work with a UX team at a local e-tailer — just about three stops up the El line from me now — that I originally worked with back in 1999 as the first large consumer facing website I had ever worked on. It’s funny how life comes full circle sometimes, but, maybe that’s a function of how small my world actually is. I am hoping to improve my health and my outlook on life. Of course, if the financial situation looks even better, then that is nice as well.
